I was interested in craft and design from a young age, I passed my exams at school and went on to Scottish Borders College where I completed a course in Art & Design. Following that I graduated with a HND in Furniture Craftsmanship from Fife College. I was one of the few lucky students to have a piece of work ; an Indian Inspired coffee table, featured in the nationally circulated Home Show magazine.
I then set up EMBERS under the umbrella of a furniture making co-operative, until I sourced my own workshop. During this time I had the pleasure of meeting the Prince of Wales who expressed great interest in my work.
